Commissions take an immense amount of time & energy but allow you an opportunity to be a part of the creative process. If you are in love with a specific piece of art, it is easier to purchase a work that is finished but when you know what you want & have time to wait, a commission may be a good idea to personalize a piece of art that is truly yours.

Commissions will gladly be considered but require the client to offer flexibility to the artist when choosing the most appropriate design, techniques, materials, mounting & framing options. They can be of a favourite animal, flower, nature setting, or special subject. Any size or dimension can be requested though I am only able to accept a limited number of commissions per year due to the hours involved in the hand embroidery process.

Please contact me if you are interested in a commissioned work. I will provide a draft sketch & layout of the final art piece for approval along with a quote & contract to be signed & returned. An estimate can be included for framing & matting if requested. Once a design is accepted by the client, a 50% deposit is required. Once a piece is completed, the client can decide to have the piece framed themselves or I will work with my framer (Janell’s Framing) to select the most appropriate conservation mounting & framing style (cost will be added to the price). The balance of payment including shipping is to be paid upon completion & prior to shipping. Each piece is shipped in a custom box, securely wrapped & insured.

Commissioned pieces can take between 2 & 6 months & longer, depending on complexity of the art work. Feel free to contact me to discuss your ideas & answer any questions.
